It can be used as A "Hydraulic Vacuum Filter" is a fine filtration
device. (It can be used as centralized plant as well as for individual
machines. In this system only one pump is working.
GFSPL has a developed range of these filters from 300 LPM to 2000 LPM
modules. A 3000 LPM modules is in developement.
PERFORMANCE Typical clarity level results shown are between 7 to 15 mg/lit. ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS - The filter uses suctin vacuum. The pressure drop used by the filter is
quite high compared to apaper band filter. This increases the cake
thickness and hance the filtration clarity;. Working of the filter is
quite economic and use of magnetc separator as pre-filter, is not
necessary.
- If necessary finer filter media can be used.
- The filter is suitable for applications using higher viscosity fluids (up-to 20 Cst).
- The filter is not effectively used for applications generating only fine dirt.
CONDITIONS AND APPLICATIONS - For use on steel gundrilling, it necessary that the magnetic separator is used as per - filter.

For applications using viscous oils, the filter is to suitably under-rated to give optimum performance.
- Low dirt generating applications like honing on CI the filter can be used with magnetic separator.
- For no-ferrous machining like aluminum, the filter is conveniently used.
- The filter is not recommended to handle large size chips, as these can
cut in the filter medium. A suitable pre-filtration / separation
device, like a scraper conveyer is recommended prior to this filter.
